Victory United inc. works with our community partners to provide resources and opportunities for our youth and families.

We believe in bringing together the community to help address major challenges facing those that we service. By partnering with other organizations and entities, we can help address those challenges and do our part to ease burdens in our communities.

Demand For Access to Food Continues to increase as challenge grows in New York City

This was the line for one of our Food Insecurity/Food Pantry program locations in Queens, New York City. Men, Women, and Children lined up for two hours to receive groceries that will help allow them to feed their families. The line stretches down the block and around the corner highlighting the demand and continued need for access to food. With our community partners, Victory United Inc works to help provide this access to groceries and healthier meal options for youth and families. Programming at Victory United Inc.

Victory United Inc. has teamed up with the YWCA of New York this summer for youth and family development. One of the more older and more prestigious organizations on New York City, the YWCA for decades has been one of the leaders for supporting youth and families throughout New York City in various capacities. This summer, the YWCA and Victory United Inc has teamed up to provide instructional Basketball and Fitness to summer camp students in Brooklyn. Additionally, Victory United Inc also helps to feed more than 100 families weekly throughout the borough of Brooklyn.

Victory United, Inc. Receives Mini Grant from NewYork-Presbyterian

NewYork-Presbyterian has selected Victory United, Inc. as one of its grantees for a 2024 mini-grant. This mini-grant is contracted for three years. NewYork-Presbyterian’s support will allow Victory United, Inc. the ability to continue to provide and expand its Food Insecurity Program, benefiting high needs families in Corona, Queens. Victory United, Inc. is proud to support this community, where the impact of food and medical insecurity is felt by so many.

Victory United, Inc. will also be able to continue its Youth Sports League, focusing on health and fitness, specifically on combating childhood obesity. The league provides summer clinics and tournaments for nearly 200 middle and high school youth. Victory United, Inc. is thankful for NewYork-Presbyterian’s support, and we look forward to an impactful collaboration.

VICTORY UNITED INC - YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

Youth Development at its finest!!! This year we were able to provide our annual summer youth basketball program to approximately 100 youth in a safe and supportive environment where students are able to grow, learn, develop and play.

The Video, song, editing, and coaching were done by former players who have dedicated their time to supporting the community and helping to continue the building of tradition and culture.

We are very proud of the youth who showed up everyday to participate in our league. You can find more info as well as the full video on our Youth Basketball League homepage.

Youth Development & Mentoring

Much of our youth face daily obstacles that can hinder their ability to realize their full potentials. By providing high quality mentoring through education and sports, we are able to help create a more holistic approach to supporting our youth.

Many of our families have been impacted heavily by the pandemic, and exposed a wide gap in services and resources available to many. Our Food insecurity programs offer support to help ease the burden for families with youth, the elderly, and homebound.

By providing high quality sports clinics and leagues, we are able to ensure that students remain actively engaged in physical activity, develop strategies for successful teamwork and group dynamics, and build overall confidence and self-esteem.
